Gateshead fell to their second defeat in 6 days, this time at the hands of Hinckley United.

Goals from Gooding and Platnauer on 15 and 29 minutes was enough to see off the Tynesiders at Marston Stadium.

The match was not without controversies after a Hinckley defender was judged to have fouled Wayne Phillips on the edge of the box, and was shown a red card.
