Ian Bogie has added to his strike force by signing the former Gretna striker Lee Novak from minnows Newcastle Blue Star.

Lee is a powerful forward with pace to match and will be a great addition to the Heeds line up, his game is very similar to Graeme Armstrong, using both power and pace to frighten any defence.

During the summer Lee had a trail with Stockport County, scoring in a trail match and attracted interest from several league clubs.

Novak could make his debut against Stafford Rangers on Wednesday night, The match looks like it will be action pack with the return of Craig “Christiano” Nelthorpe and the new arrival Lee.

On a sad note midfield general Steve Salvin has left in the opposite direction to join Newcastle Blue Star, Steve has found it hard to get a place in the starting line up this season with work commitments.

The Heed Army wish him all the best in the future!
