Gateshead ended the UniBond league season with a fine win over Play-Off hopefuls at the International stadium.
 
Ian Bogie watched on as his side ripped apart Buxton with the precise passing that has become a trademark under Bogie.
 
Ben Hutchinson got a start in the UniBond after having featured in Durham Cup games through out the season. Hutchinson didn’t look out of place in the Heed midfield as many Gateshead first team regulars were rested ahead of next weeks Play-Off semi final. Paul Talbot also made the starting line up as Wayne Phillips was rested from the left hand side, with Phil Cave playing on the left wing.
Jamie Harwood opened the scoring on 22 minutes, after beating the Buxton keeper one on one.
 
Paul Brayson scored his 7th of the season just before halt time on 44 minutes, after a great cross from Craig Baxter found the former reading mans head.
 
One minute after half time Gateshead were back in celebration after Davie Southern smacked home from yards to take it to 3-0 on 46 minutes.
On 63 minutes substitute Graeme Armstrong whipped in a cross to find Paul Brayson who calming slotted past the stranded keeper to score his 8th goal in a heed shirt this year.
Southern then took his tally for the season to 20 goals on 83 minutes to wrap up a grand win in the final league game of the season.
