Brian signed from Greenock Morton in the January 2010 transfer window, making an instant impact including an unforgettable winning double at Mansfield in the pay what you want game. Having played once on-loan last season, Shaw rejoins the Tynesiders after securing his release from Mansfield Town. He created a deadly partnership with Daryl Clare at Burton Albion. Jonny joins the Tynesiders from Northwich Victoria where he had become a cult hero. Starting out at Carlisle United, he moved onto Northwich where he stared for a number of years before leaving following the Vics removal from the Conference North. Young striker who made a name for himself in the Northern League scoring 44 goals in 49 appearances for relegated Chester-le-Street Town.
