As a player Ian Played for Port vale and Millwall to name but a few, but he started at Newcastle United in the 80's. His Impact as Gateshead manager has been immense, gaining two successive promotions from UniBond to Conf North, Conf North to Conference Premier.
Jeff is a Heed legend, in his pomp he was one of the best defenders in Non-League football. He lead the team from the back by example, putting fear in to any opponent. A childhood friend of Ian Bogie, he was first choice to assist Ian .
Thommo, as he is affectingly known is Gateshead FC’s current top goals scorer, having scored 130 goals. He is also famous for his screams of “F**KING HELL REF” and his golden year round Tan!
Jim joined from Harrogate Town in the 08/09 Season, having previously played for Hartlepool and Bury in the Football League.
Young Paul arrived at Gateshead in the summer 2009, from a local nearly unheard of Conference North side called Blythe Scottish Spartans. He has made an instant impression on the Heed Army becoming Ian Bogie's first choice between the sticks.
Craig was a product of Newcastle United’s Youth Academy, he has become a firm fan Favourite always giving 100% and having a cross on him better than Beckham (on his day).
Robbo is a strong left back who is having a continued battle with Phil Cave to be in the starting line up of the defence.
Some people say Ginger, some say Red Head or even Strawberry Blonde! But what is safe to say, he’s a rock in the Gateshead defence. James is in his 6th season at the Heed.
Jones has been a reliable player ever since he joined from York City 2007. He's had an injury hit season and is on the fringes.
Before each game he pops his hip back in and places his teeth in a jar of water, but this old timer is showing his 39 years are not holding him back on the pitch. Chris’s experience is second to none, having played in the Scottish Premier League and English Championship in recent years.
In his second spell with the Heed having left in the summer of 2008 to playing in the Scottish Leagues with Livingston. But in January of 09 Phil returned on loan and signed again in the summer.
Midlander Rikki has joined the Heed on-loan from Darlington with a view to a permanent deal. Successfully featuring for them up the road earlier in the season, he's taken the step-up.
The Dazzler is showing that his love for the game has not diminished, he has played at the highest level of the game with Sunderland in the English premiership. Darren adds the same as Chris Swailes, a calm experienced head.
Like Baxter, Kris Gate came though the ranks at Newcastle United, ever since he arrived at Gateshead he has been a midfield maestro. As Captain he has excelled and is the first name on the team sheet!
Martin is recovering from a broken leg he picked up during the infamous game with Hayes and Yeading.
Phillip, a former Hartlepool and York City player is in his second full season with the Heed. A footballing central midfielder, who on his day can make the side tick.
The pint sized marvel once had the misfortune to be a Blythe Spartan player, but after many chemical scrubs and hot baths, that fact is a distant memory. Since then he has become a fan favourite, helping the heed to two promotions with his flashy step over’s and ability to beat his man not once but twice to make sure. Never to be forgotten for that goal against Telford.
Signed from Worksop Town after a successful loan spell, Jamie has created and scored so many goals from the right wing. Sadly this year his first team appearances have been few and far between and he has been out on loan to Harrogate town earlier this season.
A powerful attacking midfielder with a thunderous shot, one for the future and beyond. Recently been on loan at Minnows Blythe Spartans.
A Lighting quick hot prospect, sadly a broken ankle in pre-season has yet to see him feature this campaign.
Son of Liverpool and Newcastle Legend Terry, slowly starting to show his skills can pay the bills.
The former Dunston and Queen Of The South striker has the habit of making the onion sack ripple, his link up play has seen him create nearly as many as he has scored at the Heed.
Speedy as he is known is in his second spell at the Heed, joining from Durham City for a reported £5000.
The Irish connection is yet to find the back of the net, has been out on loan At Dunston recently.
The Non-League goal machine, Initially on loan from Mansfield Town but signed a permanent deal in January 2010.
